Mertens - MalamTeam is hiring a Senior System Administrator for a leading organization in Central Israel.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced System Administrator to manage and maintain the organization’s IT infrastructure, including servers, virtualization, and networking environments. The role involves hands-on work with VMware and Microsoft systems, light Linux support, and developing automation scripts in PowerShell. The position also offers opportunities to expand into DevOps domains such as Kubernetes and CI/CD.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain IT infrastructure: servers, virtualization, and networks.
• Oversee VMware environments and maintain Microsoft Server systems.
• Write PowerShell scripts for automation and system optimization.
• Support Linux environments when needed.
• Collaborate with IT and DevOps teams to implement modern infrastructure solutions.

Requirements:

• Proven experience with VMware – mandatory.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Server and Windows environments.
• Basic knowledge or experience with Linux – strong advantage.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting – mandatory.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools (Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD) – strong advantage.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently within a team environment.
