About the Role:

As a Senior BI Developer in our R&D department, you will play a critical role in transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive strategic business decisions. Reporting directly to the CIO, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining robust data pipelines, developing high-performance SQL queries, and creating intuitive Power BI dashboards. Leveraging your expertise in ETL processes, data warehousing, and modern tools like Databricks and Python, you will collaborate closely with business stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions. This role requires a blend of technical proficiency, business acumen, and a proactive mindset to ensure data integrity, performance optimization, and alignment with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL processes and data warehouse structures.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries to ensure high performance and reliability across large datasets.
• Leverage Python and Databricks for advanced data transformation, orchestration, and automation tasks.
• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to visualize key business metrics.
• Work with SSIS packages for data integration and migration.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable data models and visualizations.
• Ensure data integrity, governance, and performance optimization across BI systems.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and use Jira to manage tasks, sprints, and deliverables.
• Contribute to best practices in BI development and data modelling.

Requirements:

Must-Have:

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering and management, Computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience as a BI Developer, working with ETL processes and data warehouse architecture.
• Strong command of SQL, including performance tuning and optimization.
• Solid experience in ETL development using tools such as SSIS and modern platforms like Databricks.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting and data manipulation.
• Hands-on experience building dashboards and reports in Power BI.
• Excellent understanding of data modelling concepts and business KPIs.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure Data Lake, Snowflake).
• Knowledge of data governance and compliance best practices.
