Senior Android Developer – Asio Technologies

Asio Technologies, a leading provider of cutting-edge defense and navigation solutions, is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Android Developer to join our growing team.

Location: Kfar Saba, Israel

Position type: Full-time, on-site only (not hybrid)

What you’ll do:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Android applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and QA engineers
• Take part in architectural and technical design decisions
• Implement robust and scalable solutions following best practices
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
• Conduct code reviews and continuously improve development processes
• Stay current with the latest Android development trends and tools

What we’re looking for:

• B.Sc. in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
• 7+ years of hands-on Android development experience
• Proficient in Kotlin and Java – must
• Solid experience working with SQL and mobile databases
• Deep understanding of Android SDK, components, and architecture
• Proven experience with libraries such as Retrofit, OkHttp, Jetpack components, and Material Design
• Strong knowledge of architectural patterns, especially MVVM
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Nice to have:

• Experience working with Maps and map tiles (Google Maps SDK, Mapbox, etc.)
• Contributions to open-source projects
• Experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines
