Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior PHP Developer with proven experience in developing and optimizing plugins/modules for leading open-source platforms such as WordPress, Magento, WooCommerce, OpenCart, PrestaShop, and Shopify (via SDKs or server-side applications). In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining, expanding, and optimizing complex financial systems and third-party integrations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and optimize advanced plugins for WordPress, Magento, WooCommerce, OpenCart, and PrestaShop

• Design and implement scalable backend modules for payment processing and financial transactions

• Integrate with third-party services such as PayPal, credit card processors, and digital wallets

• Ensure high performance, security, and reliability across all systems

• Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and QA teams to develop high-quality features

• Document technical processes and contribute to architectural decision-making

Required Skills:

• Expert-level PHP – strong OOP principles, algorithmic thinking, and clean, maintainable code

• 5+ years of hands-on development experience, including in large-scale or high-traffic environments

• In-depth knowledge of plugin/module development for open-source platforms: WordPress (including WooCommerce), Magento, OpenCart, PrestaShop, Shopify (via server-side apps or SDKs).

• Proven experience with payment gateway integrations

• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and libraries/frameworks such as jQuery, AngularJS, or React

• Strong understanding of web security, encryption, and protection against common vulnerabilities (e.g., XSS, CSRF)

• Experience with Git and CI/CD tools for automated testing and deployment

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field – an advantage

Bonus Skills:

• Previous experience in fintech, banking, or other high-security environments

• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices architecture

• Experience working with Linux servers and basic DevOps knowledge
