Cambium is looking for a hands-on Senior Data Engineer to join a leading cloud optimization company in Tel Aviv. This is a key role in building and scaling the company’s data platform, with a strong focus on real-world development in Python.

We're looking for someone who is not only experienced in designing scalable data systems, but also enjoys writing clean, production-level code in Python and working closely with engineering and product teams.

What you’ll do:

Design and implement scalable ETL pipelines using Apache Spark (PySpark or Scala)

Write robust, maintainable, and efficient Python code as a core part of your day-to-day

Develop internal data services and APIs to support product and analytics teams

Work with orchestration tools like Airflow, dbt, or Databricks

Ensure data quality, observability, and reliability across systems

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers

Contribute to architectural decisions and take full ownership of components

Requirements:

6+ years of experience in data engineering, including hands-on Python coding

Proven experience building and maintaining production-grade pipelines

Strong knowledge of distributed systems, data modeling, and cloud environments

Experience with orchestration tools (Airflow, dbt, Databricks)

Familiarity with microservice architectures and data APIs

Comfortable working in AWS / GCP / Azure

Nice to have:

Experience with real-time streaming (Kafka, Flink, etc.)

Understanding of data governance and observability best practices

Background in infrastructure automation or DevOps for data systems
