As we move out of stealth, we’re looking for a marketing leader to build and scale our growth engine from the ground up.

🚀 The Role

We’re looking for a founding Head of Marketing / VP Marketing — someone who is equal parts strategic leader and hands-on executor. You’ll lead everything from brand and positioning to pipeline generation, while working side-by-side with the founders to shape how the world experiences Shift.

This is a rare opportunity to own marketing from day one, with the mandate to grow into a full leadership role as the company scales.

This person will:

• Own marketing across positioning, campaigns, content, brand, demand gen, product marketing, and events
• Partner closely with the founding team, product, and sales
• Have a massive impact on our category narrative and growth

⚖️ What You’ll Do

• Own Shift’s marketing strategy, messaging, and brand narrative for the cybersecurity and enterprise markets
• Design and execute early campaigns to reach CISOs and senior security buyers across North America
• Lead all initial growth initiatives — including content, events, social, demand gen, and product marketing
• Build core marketing infrastructure — website, lead gen flows, CRM, marketing automation
• Partner closely with sales and product to align marketing with GTM strategy and customer needs
• Represent Shift at industry events and drive visibility within the cybersecurity ecosystem
• Build and scale the marketing function, including hiring, agency relationships, and budget planning

• Hands-on and scrappy — you’re not afraid to write copy, build landing pages, or roll up your sleeves when needed
• Strategic and analytical — you know how to create plans, measure what matters, and iterate quickly
• Creative storyteller — you know how to craft messaging that stands out in a crowded market
• Collaborative and humble — you thrive in startup chaos, work well with founders, and enjoy building from zero
