Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced FinOps Team Lead with a passion for cloud cost management, optimization, and deep client interaction. In this role, you will lead our innovation and automation, help us develop our automated Finops solutions, manage high-scale and complex cloud environments, working closely with internal teams and clients to drive cost efficiency, financial transparency, and operational excellence.

This role demands a strong grasp of complex design and architecture, effective communication skills, and ownership of end-to-end financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and drive cloud financial operations (FinOps) strategies for clients, optimizing their cloud spending and improving cost transparency.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, finance, and product teams to ensure alignment on cost-related decisions and cloud resource optimization.
• Manage complex, large-scale cloud environments, providing architectural guidance on cloud design to maximize cost efficiency.
• Engage directly with clients in a consultative capacity, presenting detailed FinOps insights, reports, and actionable strategies for reducing cloud costs.
• Take full ownership of FinOps initiatives, from design through to implementation and ongoing management.
• Translate complex financial and cloud architectural concepts into easily understandable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Build and maintain FinOps best practices, tools, and frameworks that scale across multiple clients and environments.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in FinOps roles, preferably in in-house environments with complex and large-scale cloud infrastructures.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and their associated cost management tools and services.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture and design principles, with the ability to balance performance, cost, and scalability.
• Excellent client-facing skills, with the ability to communicate complex cloud and financial concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven track record of taking ownership of cloud financial operations, from ideation to successful execution.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with FinOps tools (e.g., CloudHealth, AWS Cost Explorer, GCP Pricing Calculator).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, managing multiple projects and stakeholders effectively.
