Lab Manager / Senior Staff Scientist — Experimental AMO / Quantum Optics (Tel Aviv University)

We’re building new experimental platforms at Tel Aviv University and hiring a founding Lab Manager / Senior Staff Scientist to build and run state-of-the-art optical and UHV systems across laser cooling, optical tweezers, and high-NA microscopy.

You’ll do: design/build/maintain optics & lasers; UHV assembly, bakeouts & diagnostics; electro-optical experiment design; lab operations & safety; procurement/vendor & inventory; student mentoring; cross-lab scheduling & infrastructure sharing; keep our science moving fast. Opportunities to contribute to papers & grant proposals if you’d like.

You have: MSc/PhD in Physics/Engineering/Chemistry (or similar) with hands-on optics/electro-optics and vacuum experience. Nice-to-have: cold atoms/quantum optics; laser stabilization (AOM/EOM/PDH); control/DAQ; electronics; CAD; microscopy (diffraction-limited imaging, high-NA objectives, fluorescence/confocal, sCMOS/EMCCD cameras).
