**Responsibilities

**Team Leadership and Management:

• Lead and manage a team of highly skilled kernel developers and individual contributors
• Provide technical mentorship and career development guidance to team members
• Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture that promotes excellence in open-source development
• Conduct performance reviews, set goals, and support professional growth

Technical Leadership

• Drive technical strategy and roadmap for open-source KMD/DRM development initiatives
• Guide testing and validation strategies for memory management modules for Intel's GPUs, networking stack to support multi-GPU communication
• Lead pre- and post-silicon qualification efforts for Intel's GPU/HW products
• Review and approve technical designs and architectural decisions

Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership on project planning and execution
• Manage relationships with open-source community stakeholders and maintainers
• Coordinate with cross-site organizations to ensure effective communication

Strategic Planning

• Develop and execute team objectives aligned with organizational goals
• Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and deliverable commitments
• Identify and mitigate technical and operational risks
• Drive continuous improvement in development processes and methodologies

**Qualifications

**Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Electronics/Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred)
• 15+ years of experience in large-scale software product development
• 5+ years of proven people management experience leading technical teams
• 10+ years of hands-on experience in C programming and Linux kernel development

Technical Expertise

• Deep understanding of Ultra Accelerator Link (UALink) open specification for die-to-die interconnect and serial bus architecture
• Deep expertise in DRM/KMD driver development
• Knowledge of UALink's role in enabling high-bandwidth, low-latency connections between AI processing units
• 6+ years of experience developing DRM/KMD drivers for Linux with GPU, multi-die, and scale-out systems
• Strong presence and contributions in the open-source community with a demonstrated track record of upstream contributions
• Experience with GPU architecture and graphics/compute technologies

Leadership Skills

• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing technical teams
• Strong communication and presentation skills for technical and executive audiences
• Experience managing distributed/cross-geo teams
• Ability to balance technical depth with management responsibilities

Additional Requirements

• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies
• Ability to make strategic technical decisions and drive consensus across teams

**The Software and AI (SAI) Team drives customer value by enabling differentiated experiences through leadership AI technologies and foundational software stacks, products, and services. The group is responsible for developing the holistic strategy for client and data center software in collaboration with OSVs, ISVs, developers, partners and OEMs. The group delivers specialized NPU IP to enable the AI PC and GPU IP to support all of Intel's market segments. The group also has HW and SW engineering experts responsible for delivering IP, SOCs, runtimes, and platforms to support the CPU and GPU/accelerator roadmap, inclusive of integrated and discrete graphics.
