Role Description
This is a 80% remote role for a Freelance Integration Specialist (iPaaS Expert). The Integration Specialist will be responsible for integrating various systems and applications, troubleshooting and resolving integration issues, and assessing and analyzing the needs of the business to design effective integration solutions. Day-to-day tasks also include collaborating with cross-functional teams, facilitating effective communication, and ensuring successful implementation and maintenance of integrations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proven experience of at least 5 years with one or more iPaaS platforms (Workato strongly preferred, but can be MuleSoft, Boomi, Power Automate, Zapier etc.)
- Strong understanding of APIs, JSON, and data mapping
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Self-managed, reliable, and comfortable working directly with customers
- Availability for ongoing freelance or project-based work
Responsibilities
- Design and build automations and integrations, mainly using Workato
- Participate in requirement discussions with customers
- Document recipes, connections, and best practices
- Troubleshoot issues and optimize performance
- Communicate clearly and independently manage your workload
Nice to have
- Salesforce experience — building Flows, managing automations, or system administration
- NetSuite administration or experience with other ERPs (SAP, Priority, Oracle Cloud, etc.)
- Familiarity with CPQ systems and product configuration logic
- Experience with marketing platforms such as HubSpot, Marketo, or Pardot
- Understanding of sales enablement tools such as Outreach, LeanData, Salesloft, Groove, or similar
- Exposure to customer success and finance systems such as Gainsight, Chargebee, Zuora, or ChurnZero
- Broader understanding of the end-to-end customer ecosystem — from marketing and sales through finance and support — and how data should flow seamlessly across systems
