Research Group Leader – Wireless Communications & Protocol Analysis

TNG Group develops RF systems and wireless communication, management and analytics software, detection systems and security related solutions , is seeking an exceptional algorithms engineer to lead and build a multidisciplinary research team developing cutting-edge solutions in wireless communications and protocol analysis.

The role spans the full stack — from RF to baseband — combining theoretical insight, algorithm design, and hands-on implementation using modern AI/ML-based analysis.

Job Description:

• Build and mentor a high-performing research team; set priorities and drive technical excellence.
• Define and lead the algorithm development roadmap for signal capture, waveform analysis, demodulation, and protocol processing.
• Oversee end-to-end algorithm design — from simulation and prototype to real-world validation.
• Conduct protocol analysis and reverse engineering, including detection, classification, and countermeasure design.
• Integrate AI/ML methods for spectral analysis, anomaly detection, and waveform classification.
• Collaborate with RF, firmware, and systems teams to transition research into product-ready implementations.
• Manage research documentation, IP generation, and patent portfolio.

Requirements:

• B.Sc. in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering or related field (advanced degree preferred).
• Strong background in communications, signal processing, and protocol theory.
• Proven hands-on experience in wireless system implementation (RF → baseband → protocol).
• Deep familiarity with Wi-Fi (802.11) and cellular (LTE/5G) technologies.
• background in AI/ML theory and implementation.
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, C/C++, and embedded development.
• Experience leading small technical or research teams.
• Track record of publications or patents.
