Senior Algorithm Engineer – Image Processing & Computer Vision for Electro-Optical Systems

About the Role:

The Malam plant in the Missiles and Space Division is seeking a Senior Algorithm Engineer specializing in Image Processing and Computer Vision for complex electro-optical systems.

Responsibilities:

• Develop algorithmic solutions for target detection and tracking under low SNR and challenging environmental conditions.
• Gain system-level understanding of the problem space.
• Explore alternative solutions using a range of technologies (including Deep Learning).
• Collaborate with system engineers, physicists, software, and firmware engineers.
• Conduct performance analysis and support system implementation.
• Implement solutions using Matlab / C++ / Python.

Requirements:

• B.Sc./M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or related field.
• Proven experience in algorithm development for Computer Vision and Image Processing, particularly using Deep Learning technologies.
• Familiarity with standard development tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Solid background in statistics and probability.
• High work ethic and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
