We are seeking a Director of RD driven by operational excellence and delivery velocity to lead the engineering efforts for our newest brand. This is a high-accountability leadership role focused on transforming strategic vision into deployed reality. You will manage the execution of the technology roadmap, driving rigor in our development processes and ensuring that our teams are not just writing code, but delivering high-impact business value at pace.

What am I going to do?

• Drive excellence: Manage multiple engineering squads with a focus on velocity, quality, and predictability. You will implement the metrics and processes necessary to optimize throughput and minimize friction.
• Execute the roadmap: Take full ownership of delivery timelines. You will work backwards from business goals to ensure the technology organization meets critical deadlines without compromising on stability.
• Performance management: Set a high bar for performance. You will actively manage team leads, ensuring accountability, clear goal setting, and continuous optimization of team structures for maximum efficiency.
• Cross-functional alignment: Bridge the gap between Engineering, Product, and Business. Your job is to ensure that technical resources are laser-focused on the highest-value business objectives.

Requirements:

• Proven Delivery Leadership: Extensive experience leading multiple teams with a track record of shipping complex products on strict timeline
• Operational mindset: Strong ability to manage engineering via KPIs, metrics, and rigorous process management.
• Technical Acumen: Strong background in large-scale, distributed web application development with a deep understanding of modern cloud architectures, microservices, and system design.
• Decisive management: Experience making hard trade-offs between speed, scope, and quality to keep the business moving forward.
• Business Ownership: Strong product sense and a deep sense of ownership over the business outcomes driven by the technology teams.Educational Background: BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field from a top-tier university.
