What you will be doing:

As an RFIC Analysis Engineer, you'll work hands-on with advanced RFIC technologies in our lab environment. You will collaborate closely with RFIC designers to analyze, characterize, and optimize circuits, ensuring the quality and performance of our products. Your work directly supports the development of cutting-edge RFIC solutions at Sony.

On a typical day:

On a typical day, you might start by running measurements on a new RFIC, analyze the data, work with designers to interpret results, update automated test scripts, and participate in team discussions to optimize circuit performance.

Responsibilities:

• Perform RFIC block-level analysis and characterization
• Develop automation tools for RF testing and measurements
• Analyze measurement data and prepare reports
• Collaborate closely with RFIC designers to optimize designs
• Conduct hands-on lab work with spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and signal generators
• Maintain and improve testing processes and documentation
• Support troubleshooting and problem-solving for RFIC projects

Requirements:

Must-Have Requirements:

• B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from a well-known university
• 0 – 4 years of relevant experience in the RF field.

Technical Background:

• Experience with lab measurement equipment: spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and signal generators
• Familiarity with fundamental RF parameters and system-level performance metrics (IP3, Cascaded NF, PLL & Phase Noise, DAC/ADC performance, S-parameters, IQ imbalance, DC offset, P1dB, PSAT)
• Experience with MATLAB for data analysis and test automation
• Practical knowledge of Spectrum Analyzer operation and settings (RBW, VBW)
• Advantageous: RF experience from military service or practical engineering/technician background

Working Style:

• Ability to collaborate effectively with designers and engineers
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks in a lab environment
• Comfortable learning new tools and techniques quickly
