What you'll do

As a motion design lead, you’ll help define the visual language of Maestro.

It’s 0→1 work - fast, focused, and hands-on. You’ll guide the creative direction for our studio and set the bar for our work - while staying deeply involved in the craft yourself.

You’ll lead ideas from the first spark to the final frame. You’ll build new workflows, create performance and brand videos, and help shape how we speak to learners in the U.S. and beyond. As the studio grows, you’ll play a key role in hiring and mentoring new talent.

This role is for someone who thinks like a creative director but still loves being hands-on. Someone who wants to explore the edge of AI video and use it to tell clear, human stories.

• Lead the full creative process - from idea, to copy, to storyboard and final edit.
• Create performance and brand videos that tell clear, moving stories.
• Develop visual concepts that feel fresh, cinematic, and grounded in purpose.
• Build workflows to produce creatives at scale.
• Set the creative standard for our future studio and help hire the people who will join it.
• Balance hands-on craft with high-level creative direction.
• Keep a strong pulse on culture, design, and the evolving world of generative video.

What we’re looking for

• Hands-on creator: 3+ years in motion design, creative direction, or a similar role, with strong skills in After Effects or similar tools.
• AI-native storyteller: Experience using AI video tools such as Higgsfield, Runway, Kling, or similar models to tell thoughtful stories.
• Self-directed builder: Comfortable working independently and owning projects end-to-end. Excited to build a creative function from scratch and set a long-term standard.
• Strong creative taste: Clean design, sharp pacing, and a clear sense of what makes a story land.
• Culturally fluent: Deep understanding of American audiences and the U.S. education market - plus.
• Performance-focused thinker: Experience creating videos that not only inspire but convert- plus.
