Senior R&D Engineer - Acoustic Detection System (Dumbo)

To accelerate Dumbo’s development and deployments, we’re hiring an R&D Engineer who’s excited about taking algorithms from idea to field-proven performance. You’ll work on signal processing, system integration, and experiments that directly shape the product.

Role Description:

🔹 Develop algorithms for acoustic detection (signal processing, localization/DOA, tracking)

🔹 Combine physics intuition with practical engineering to build operational systems

🔹 Take part in end-to-end delivery, from concept and implementation to real-world deployment

🔹 Participate in field experiments: setup, data collection, analysis, and iteration

🔹 Work closely with the team to integrate, test, and refine the product (software + hardware)

What We’re Looking For:

✔️B.Sc. or higher in Physics / Electrical Engineering

✔️3+ years of R&D experience

✔️Strong hands-on skills in Python and Signal Processing

✔️Technically driven, independent, and an excellent communicator

Advantages if you have:

✨ Background in acoustics, DOA, beamforming, or tracking

✨ Familiarity with ML/AI for audio or sensor fusion

✨ Experience with real-world sensors / embedded or edge deployment
