**About The Role & Responsibilities

**Join Pagaya’s research engineering team.

The team is responsible for building and maintaining the foundational infrastructure that empowers Pagaya’s research and portfolio groups. Our goal is to equip Pagaya’s researchers with best-in-class tools and systems, enabling them to efficiently develop and deploy cutting-edge data science and machine learning models. As a Research Software Engineer, you will design and implement critical components of these core systems.

Requirements

• 7+ Years of engineering experience with main focus on backend development
• 3+ Years of experience with Python- Must
• Experience in developing and maintaining applications at scale.
• Experience with public cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure)
• Proven ability to work in teams.
• Proven technical leadership skills.
• Bonus: experience in performance optimization and Research environment.
• Bonus: knowledge of data science frameworks such as numpy and scikit-learn.
