We are looking for a visionary and execution-oriented VP of R&D to lead our engineering organization through its next massive phase of growth. Following our successful Series B, we are scaling our product, our data capabilities, and our people.

As VP R&D, you will bridge the gap between deep technical excellence and strategic business goals. You will oversee multiple development groups, ensuring we build scalable, high-performance systems while fostering a culture of innovation and rapid delivery.

What You’ll Do

• Scale the Org: Lead and grow a multi-disciplinary engineering organization (multiple groups), mentoring directors and managers to reach their full potential.
• Technical Strategy: Drive the architectural vision for high-scale, data-intensive systems.
• Business Alignment: Work closely with the CEO, Product, and Sales to align the R&D roadmap with commercial objectives.
• Operational Excellence: Implement robust engineering processes (CI/CD, quality, security) that allow us to move fast without breaking things.
• Culture: Maintain a high-performance, inclusive, and mission-driven engineering culture.

What You Bring

• Proven Leadership: Previous experience as a VP R&D (or a similar senior leadership role) overseeing multiple managers and groups.
• Startup DNA: Deep experience in the fast-paced, high-growth startup environment. You know how to build from "zero to one" and "one to one hundred."
• High-Scale Expertise: A strong background in building distributed systems, handling massive data sets, and managing complex cloud architectures.
• Business Acumen: A "business-first" mindset, you understand how technical decisions impact the P&L and customer satisfaction.
