Job Title: FI Partnerships Director, Europe

They’re now seeking a seasoned FI Partnerships leader to spearhead financial institution relationships across Europe and help build new payment corridors that power global growth.

What you’ll do

As FI Partnerships Director, you’ll sit at the heart of business development, product innovation, and operational execution. You’ll design and drive the European FI partnership strategy, bringing best-in-class banking partners onboard and ensuring seamless integration into the platform’s global payments ecosystem.

You will

• Lead strategic partnerships with banks and financial institutions to expand local and cross-border payment capabilities.
• Source and negotiate commercial and technical agreements that unlock new corridors and enhance payment performance.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Compliance, Risk, and Implementation teams to ensure partners go live smoothly and compliantly.
• Evaluate partner propositions to deliver innovative, API-driven payment solutions that scale globally.
• Act as senior relationship owner, managing escalations and fostering long-term collaboration with key partners.
• Shape the regional strategy, contributing to global expansion plans in close partnership with senior leadership.

What you’ll bring

• 7+ years’ experience in financial institution partnerships, payments acquiring, and business development within fintech, banking or payments.
• Deep understanding of the European payments ecosystem - including acquiring, API connectivity, alternative payment methods, and local payment rails.
• Proven success negotiating and closing complex strategic deals at senior levels (MD / CRO / Head of Payments).
• Hands-on experience managing end-to-end partner onboarding and delivering against commercial and growth targets.
• Knowledge of card issuing and acceptance, and familiarity with European payment schemes.
• Strong stakeholder management skills - comfortable aligning product, compliance, and legal functions around shared goals.
