Position Overview:

Sheba Medical Center, a world-leading academic medical center affiliated with Tel Aviv University, is seeking an experienced Unit Manager to lead a unit within Pharmacy Services.

The Unit Manager is responsible for the overall management of the unit, including regulatory compliance, professional standards, operational excellence, and logistics.

Key Responsibilities

• Full managerial responsibility for the unit, including regulatory, professional, operational, and logistical aspects
• Day-to-day management of unit activities, ensuring order, cleanliness, and proper maintenance of equipment
• Inventory management, including supervision of goods receipt, storage, and transportation of medications and raw materials in accordance with Ministry of Health regulations
• Ensuring proper storage conditions, conducting inventory counts, and performing ongoing audits
• Human resources management: supervising staff, professional guidance and training, workforce scheduling, and ensuring operational continuity
• Conducting employee evaluations, feedback sessions, and team meetings
• Initial approval of absences and vacation days; promoting employee wellbeing and professional development
• Representing the unit before Pharmacy Services management and implementing organizational policies
• Defining and writing work procedures in collaboration with Quality Assurance, and monitoring their implementation
• Managing and supervising pharmaceutical activities within the unit

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy – required
• Master’s or PhD in Pharmacy – significant advantage
• Valid Israeli pharmacist license – required
• Previous experience working in a hospital or similar healthcare setting – required
• Proven managerial experience – required
• Strong proficiency in Office applications, including Excel
• Full professional proficiency in Hebrew and English (reading level and above) – required
• High organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team

• Availability for on-call duties as required
