Java Backend Developer – Big Data & Streaming (Security clearance will be required)

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Java Backend Developer to join our data engineering team. You will work on high-scale data governance and ETL systems, as well as develop real-time data streaming pipelines using modern big data technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop large-scale data governance and ETL systems
• Build and maintain real-time data streaming processes

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience in Java (server-side) development – Must
• Strong knowledge of big data architectures and tools, including Kafka, PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, MongoDB, Kubernetes, Docker – Must
• Hands-on experience with Apache Flink – Must
• Familiarity with Spring framework – Strong Advantage
• Experience with Python and/or Bash – Advantage
• Strong sense of ownership, independence, and accountability – Must
• Excellent team player with a “get things done” mindset
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments – Advantage
