Background

Loris is at an exciting inflection point. Following our recent acquisition by Contentsquare, we’re scaling our Israeli R&D hub and expanding our impact across the customer experience analytics space. Our technology combines proprietary AI with cutting-edge LLMs to help the world’s leading brands understand and improve every customer interaction - from uncovering intent and sentiment to identifying opportunities for business growth and efficiency.

Up to now, we’ve operated with a flat structure, and this will be our first engineering leadership role, reporting directly to the CTO of Loris. As a Team Lead, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping both our team culture and processes as we grow. This is a unique opportunity to build and mentor a high-performing team while staying close to the code and driving technical excellence. You’ll collaborate closely with product, data science, and business leaders to translate ambitious goals into high-quality, scalable solutions that delight customers and drive measurable impact.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of 8 engineers (backend, full stack, devops, QA), fostering growth, collaboration, and a culture of excellence.
• Stay hands-on with design and development, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions.
• Translate product and business goals into clear technical roadmaps and execution plans.
• Partner closely with product managers, data scientists, and designers to deliver impactful features.
• Establish best practices for code quality, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Help shape Loris’s engineering culture and processes as we scale post-acquisition.
• Drive innovation, experimentation, and continuous improvement in both technology and team dynamics.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 4+ years in a leadership or mentoring capacity.
• Strong technical background in SaaS platforms, cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), and modern development practices.
• Experience working with AI/ML systems, large-scale data pipelines, or LLM-based applications is a strong advantage.
• Proficiency in Python, with hands-on experience in building and scaling production systems, is a significant plus.
• Proven ability to balance hands-on coding with guiding and empowering a team.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across teams and geographies.
• Passion for building high-impact products that help businesses understand and elevate the customer experience.
