IAI's ELTA Division is seeking a skilled Process Engineer / NPI Technologist to join the Engineering & Systems Plant, supporting the development of advanced technologies in the space domain. This role involves close collaboration with R&D and production teams to ensure high-reliability electronic assemblies for military and space applications.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) processes for electronic systems
• Support the definition and implementation of materials and processes related to adhesives and coatings
• Work with SMT/DIE assembly lines and electronic module production technologies
• Ensure compliance with IPC-610 / J-STD-001 (Class 3) and ESA/GEIA-STD standards
• Collaborate with R&D, mechanical assembly, and electronic manufacturing departments
• Interface with subcontractors in Israel and abroad
• Lead process improvements and implement technological changes
• Conduct failure analysis and support root cause investigations
• Develop and support advanced soldering processes for PCB assemblies

Requirements:

• B.Sc. in Materials Engineering, Chemistry, or Electrical/Electronics Engineering – required
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in electronic manufacturing processes – required
• Hands-on experience in SMT, soldering, coating, adhesives, and electromechanical assemblies
• Knowledge of PCB design and manufacturing processes
• Experience with failure analysis methodologies
• Mandatory experience working with space-grade standards and processes for electronic and mechanical assemblies
• Strong analytical skills, process ownership, and ability to drive change
