In March 2024, we launched Sojo Shield, our custom Dock-to-Dock, Blockchain-enabled track and trace platform. Version 1.0 provides real-time traceability and FDA-compliant reporting, integrating physical and virtual worlds to enhance efficiency and transparency in the supply chain.

As we continue to scale, we are exploring the market for a Senior Frontend Engineer at the Architect level to lead frontend development, define architecture, and drive UI/UX innovation in our rapidly evolving platform. This is a future opportunity as we assess top-tier talent in the industry.

About the Role

We are looking for an exceptional Senior Frontend Engineer with architect-level expertise to shape the frontend direction of Sojo Shield and our broader suite of products. This role requires a deep understanding of modern frontend technologies, scalable architecture, and UI/UX best practices for complex, data-driven applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and lead the development of scalable, maintainable, and high-performance frontend applications.
• Define and implement best practices for frontend development, ensuring efficiency, maintainability, and scalability.
• Drive the evolution of Sojo Shield’s frontend tech stack, ensuring it meets the needs of a fast-growing industrial automation business.
• Work closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to build intuitive and powerful user interfaces.
• Optimize performance across web applications to ensure seamless user experiences.
• Establish reusable frontend component libraries and design systems to improve development efficiency.
• Mentor and guide other engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence.
• Stay ahead of industry trends and bring cutting-edge frontend technologies into our stack where applicable.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 8+ years of experience in frontend development, with at least 3+ years in an architectural or leadership role.
• Expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Next.js, Vue.js, or similar).
• Deep knowledge of TypeScript and best practices for maintainable, scalable code.
• Strong understanding of state management solutions (Redux, Zustand, Recoil, or similar).
• Experience designing complex frontend architectures for large-scale applications.
• Expertise in frontend performance optimization (lazy loading, code splitting, caching strategies, etc.).
• Strong experience with component-based design, micro frontends, and frontend monorepos.
• Knowledge of GraphQL and RESTful APIs for integrating with backend services.
• Experience in designing and maintaining design systems and UI component libraries.
• Strong understanding of UX principles and ability to work closely with designers.
• Proficiency with build tools (Webpack, Vite, Babel, etc.) and CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in real-time data visualization for supply chain, logistics, or industrial applications.
• Knowledge of frontend security best practices.
• Familiarity with WebSockets, and Progressive Web Apps (PWAs).
• Experience with frontend performance monitoring tools (Lighthouse, Sentry, etc.).
• Understanding of blockchain-related frontend development is a plus.
