Role Overview

We are seeking PhD-level, Masters and Bachelors biologists to join our data annotation and model training team. In this role, you will apply your advanced biological knowledge to curate, annotate, and validate datasets that power generative AI models. Your expertise will help ensure that models understand biological concepts accurately and generate scientifically valid and meaningful outputs.

This position is ideal for scientists passionate about bridging domain expertise with frontier AI development, and who want to directly influence how AI learns and applies biological knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

• Annotate, label, and structure complex biological datasets (e.g., genomic data, molecular structures, experimental results, or biological pathways) for AI model training.
• Review, validate, and correct AI-generated outputs to ensure biological accuracy and relevance.
• Collaborate with AI engineers and data scientists to translate biological concepts into annotation workflows and quality standards.
• Develop benchmarks and validation criteria for biology-related AI outputs.
• Provide expert feedback to improve AI performance across areas such as molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, cell biology, microbiology, or bioinformatics.

Qualifications

• Masters, Bachelors or PhD in Biology or a closely related field.
• Strong understanding of core biological principles in one or more subfields (e.g., molecular, cellular, or computational biology).
• Experience with scientific data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB, or specialized bioinformatics software).
• Ability to critically assess biological datasets and AI-generated content for accuracy and consistency.
• Strong communication skills for cross-disciplinary collaboration.
• Must be based in Europe and have access to a personal laptop suitable for annotation tasks.

Nice-to-Have

• Familiarity with machine learning or generative AI concepts.
• Experience in data annotation, curation, or scientific data management.
• Programming experience in Python, R, or other data analysis tools relevant to biology.
