Job Title: Platform Solution Architect – Manhattan Active Platform

Location- remote need to work EST hours

• Key ResponsibilitiesWork closely with business stakeholders (Retail, e-Commerce, Supply Chain, IT) to translate business requirements (omnichannel order management, fulfillment, store inventory, supply chain execution) into a coherent solution architecture leveraging Manhattan Active Platform capabilities.
• Define end-to-end solution flows: from sales channel integration, order capture, inventory visibility, fulfillment optimization, through to delivery and returns — aligning with the platform’s unified commerce model.
• Design microservices integrations, APIs, event-driven flows and external system interfaces (ERP, CRM, TMS, WMS, POS, storefronts) to ensure seamless data and process orchestration.
• Define and maintain solution architecture artefacts: logical / physical diagrams, interface definitions, data mappings, configuration strategy (no-code/low-code/your-code extensions) in the Manhattan Active® Platform environment.
• Provide technical governance: review systems and integration designs, ensure scalability, reliability, maintainability, security, high-availability, disaster-recovery aligned with platform best practices (e.g., containerization, Kubernetes, fault-tolerance).
• Serve as a subject-matter expert for the Manhattan Active® Platform: staying current on new releases (quarterly cadence), advising on configuration vs customization decisions, guiding low-code/no-code vs custom extension trade-offs.
• Provide architectural input into the roadmap: identify gaps, propose enhancements, align future platform capabilities with our business strategy.

Qualifications & Skills

• Required:
• Minimum 7-10 years of enterprise solution architecture or senior systems engineering experience – ideally in omnichannel retail, supply chain or commerce systems.
• Demonstrated experience with the Manhattan Active Platform (or equivalent Manhattan Associates solutions: OMS, WMS, POS) — either as architect, lead consultant or senior engineer. For example, configuring/customizing the Manhattan Active OMS + integrations.
• Deep technical knowledge of cloud-native architectures: microservices, containers (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), API-first design, high-availability/disaster recovery
• Familiarity with integration technologies: REST APIs, event streaming/messaging, service discovery, identity & authorization frameworks.
• Strong understanding of retail/supply-chain business processes (order management, fulfillment, inventory management, store fulfilment, POS, supply chain execution).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills: able to engage business stakeholders and technical teams, articulate architectural decisions, trade-offs, risks and plans.
