We are looking for a Carbon Program Specialist to lead the technical, scientific, and data-driven aspects of an agritech's carbon program — from soil sampling and lab analysis to quantification of soil carbon and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, all the way through to verification with Verra.

This is a unique opportunity to make a real impact on climate and agriculture, while working with experts across agronomy, science, and technology.

What You’ll Do

• Act as the in-house expert on Verra and carbon offset methodologies, staying up to date with the latest standards and revisions.
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for soil sampling, handling, and laboratory analysis.
• Ensure QA/QC alignment across all partner labs and operations.
• Lead the preparation of Monitoring Reports and coordinate reviews with Validation and Verification Bodies (VVBs).
• Build partnerships with labs, research institutions, and technology providers.
• Integrate digital tools and data systems to strengthen methodological robustness.
• Collaborate with agronomists and MRV teams to ensure accurate soil carbon and GHG quantification.

What You Bring

• Master’s degree in Soil Science, Agronomy, Environmental Science, or related field.
• 3–4 years of experience in carbon project development under Verra or similar standards – strong advantage.
• Solid knowledge of soil carbon measurement, GHG accounting, and MRV systems.
• Experience with QA/QC processes, data verification, and SOP development.
• Strong analytical and technical writing skills.
• Excellent English (written and spoken).
