**Responsibilities

**We're looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join our UVM team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Software Engineering, you'll be responsible for:

• Developing and maintaining high-quality, scalable backend services within a microservices architecture using Java /Spring Boot and participate in design from scratch to production
• Delivering high quality features for our high-scale web environment
• Monitoring the performance and cost of the services in production
• Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to improve our technology stack and development processes
• Integrating with other team members (backend/frontend/product/UX)

What We're Looking For (Minimum Qualifications)

• Must have 4+ years of experience with Java/ Spring boot developing SaaS application
• Must be proficient in microservices environment, including experience with cloud and Kubernetes
• Experience working on a production grade product with dozens of end users who connect to it on a daily basis
• B.Sc. in Computer Science or a related field

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Experience with AWS
• Experience in leading features with other team members or cross teams
