MEP BIM Modeler – Job Description

The MEP BIM Modeler is responsible for creating, developing, and maintaining accurate 3D models of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems using BIM software. The role includes coordinating between disciplines, preparing detailed construction drawings, identifying clashes, and supporting engineers throughout the design and execution phases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and update 3D BIM models for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical systems.
• Produce coordinated shop drawings and installation plans.
• Perform clash detection and resolve inconsistencies between disciplines.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure design accuracy.
• Maintain model integrity and adhere to project standards and BIM protocols.
• Prepare as-built models and documentation.

Requirements:

• Experience with BIM tools (Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks).
• Strong understanding of MEP systems.
• Ability to interpret engineering plans and technical specifications.
• High attention to detail and ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment
