Solo Recruiters - This is for you

I run Applied Talent Solutions, a headhunting firm with more live roles than I can personally deliver on. I am looking for one experienced, self-employed recruiter who specialises in construction hiring and wants to plug into high-quality roles on a pure revenue share basis.

If you are already running your own micro-agency or working solo but want better roles, higher fees and a proper delivery partner, this is for you.

This is not employment. No basic salary, no retainer, no day rate. It is a partnership where we both win when you close.

Commercials

• Model: Commission-only, revenue share
• Split: 50/50
• Average placement fee: typically £18k–£22k
• Example: On a £20k fee, your 50 % is £10,000
• Payment terms: Immediately after client pays (normally no later than 30 days post candidate commencement)
• Invoicing: You invoice me; I invoice the client

I handle the client relationships, commercials and invoicing. You focus on headhunting, shortlists and closing.

What you will be working on

• Senior and mid-level construction roles (main contractors, M&E contractors, client-side, cost & project management, etc.)
• UK and European assignments, often with relocation and expat angles
• Roles where fees are meaningful and the bar is high - not £3k transactional noise
• Predominantly permanent and fixed-term hires, not temp desks

You will own delivery on agreed roles:

• Market mapping and targeted headhunting
• Screening, qualification and shortlisting
• Managing candidates through process to offer and start
• Using my client brand (and/or yours) where appropriate

What I provide

• A pipeline of live, qualified construction roles that actually move
• Existing client relationships and negotiated terms
• ATS / process infrastructure and support where needed
• A sounding board who has built and led recruitment teams for global brands and now runs an agency

You are not fighting to win the work. That part is largely handled.

What you bring

• You are already self-employed (Ltd, sole trader or similar) and comfortable invoicing
• 3+ years recruiting in construction (main contractor, M&E, PQS, client side or similar)
• You can source and close senior construction talent without being spoon-fed
• You are happy working remotely, managing your own time and pipeline
• You understand that no salary = high upside + autonomy

If you need hand-holding, a guaranteed monthly pay cheque, or someone to set your daily to-do list, this is not for you.

What this is not

• Not an internal TA role
• Not an RPO seat embedded inside a client
• Not a junior role or “learn recruitment from scratch”
• Not for anyone who needs a base salary to feel comfortable

It is for someone who already knows what they are doing and wants to turn that into serious fee income without chasing BD all day.
