Position Overview

We are seeking a talented and insightful scriptwriter to join our growing creative team. This role requires a deep passion for storytelling, the ability to simplify complex ideas, and a sharp understanding of what resonates with digital audiences. From short-form videos to social documentaries, your scripts will help shape the voice and vision of our content.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and develop scripts for videos that highlight unique stories, trends, and individuals across the Middle East.
• Collaborate with producers, researchers, and editors to transform ideas into clear, engaging scripts.
• Write across a variety of formats and tones, including narrative explainers, interviews, short documentaries, and branded content.
• Tailor scripts to suit different platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
• Revise scripts based on feedback from producers and stakeholders, maintaining creative integrity while meeting strategic goals.
• Ensure that all scripts align with the company's voice, mission, and content standards.
• Stay informed on regional and global topics relevant to our audience, and propose story ideas accordingly.
• Meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy, creativity, and storytelling impact.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a scriptwriter, journalist, or content writer—ideally within media, documentary, or digital platforms.
• Strong command of narrative structure, tone, and pacing.
• Excellent research and storytelling skills, with an ability to distill complex topics into accessible language.
• Familiarity with social media content styles and platform-specific requirements.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Bonus Points

• Knowledge of the Middle East’s cultural, political, or social landscape.
• Experience writing for visual media or voice-over formats.
