Role Description

We’re looking for a senior backend engineer with deep experience in distributed systems to help build and scale Beacon’s high-throughput data processing platform.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement core components of our distributed data pipeline.
• Build systems that process high-volume, heterogeneous security telemetry.
• Own architecture decisions and collaborate across engineering, product, and research.
• Improve resiliency, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Develop abstractions that make onboarding new log types easier.
• Raise the engineering bar through code reviews and design discussions.

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years backend experience with distributed systems in production.
• Strong fundamentals in concurrency, fault tolerance, parallelism, and event processing.
• Proficiency in Go, Rust, or similar languages.
• Experience scaling systems in cloud environments.
• Product-oriented engineering mindset.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with security telemetry or observability pipelines.
• Systems programming or networking background.
• Experience with schema modeling or data normalization.
