The Role

We are looking for Senior Go developers to join a new product development initiative. The developer will build a new platform from the ground up. The role focuses on backend engineering with Golang and collaboration with the existing engineering team. The work includes designing backend functionality and contributing to the overall architecture of the new product.

The company operates in the financial technology sector and focuses on enabling businesses to offer flexible payment and leasing options for hardware and equipment.

This is a long-term, full-time remote engagement. You’ll have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies, solve complex backend challenges, and deliver impactful features used by real customers worldwide.

What we are looking for:

• 5+ years of professional backend development experience
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Go in production systems
• Strong understanding of concurrency, goroutines, and Go internals
• Experience building RESTful and/or gRPC services
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architecture
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or other container/orchestration tools
• Experience writing automated tests (unit/integration)
• Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken)
• Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality results remotely
• Located in CET timezone (+/- 3 hours), we are unable to consider applications from candidates in other time zones.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Experience with message brokers (Kafka, NATS, RabbitMQ, etc.)
• Familiarity with monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry)
• Knowledge of security best practices for backend systems
• Experience with high-traffic or low-latency platforms
• Contributions to open-source Go projects
• Experience in startup or fast-paced environments

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Go (Golang)
• Build scalable, reliable, and high-performance distributed systems
• Collaborate closely with frontend, DevOps, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
• Optimize applications for performance, latency, and throughput
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
• Contribute to architectural discussions and technical decision-making
• Debug and troubleshoot production issues in complex systems
• Work in an agile environment and follow modern development practices
