Job Title: Senior Demand Planner (EMEA - Remote)

Location: 100% Remote (within EMEA region)

Employment Type: Contract (34 weeks)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Demand Planner to lead global process improvement initiatives in demand planning. This role will serve as the subject matter expert for volume and trade modeling, system optimization, and forecasting accuracy across business units. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in demand planning systems, statistical modeling, and cross-functional leadership, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive performance improvements globally.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Process & System Leadership

• Serve as subject matter expert for volume and trade modeling, ensuring alignment with business, supply chain, and customer requirements
• Lead implementation and enhancement of advanced predictive planning and trade promotion management systems
• Drive system optimization and serve as thought leader for demand planning tools and processes
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for modeling and related tools to improve forecast accuracy

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Influence

• Partner with senior leaders, regional demand planning teams, sales planning, and field teams to improve communication and process efficiencies
• Act as center of excellence for system optimization, driving best practices and training globally
• Collaborate with external vendors to implement and refine cutting-edge statistical forecasting models
• Influence stakeholders at all organizational levels to align with demand planning objectives

Analytical Excellence & Innovation

• Apply complex mathematical and statistical techniques to enhance forecasting accuracy
• Stay current with market trends, new technologies, and industry best practices
• Identify and implement innovative strategies to improve system performance and forecast reliability
• Transform raw data into actionable insights through comprehensive KPI development

Training & Global Support

• Conduct master-level training and provide field support to validate system usage
• Mentor demand planning professionals globally on tools, processes, and best practices
• Support teams across different time zones (APAC, LATAM, EMEA) as project requires
• MUST be fluent in Spanish for effective collaboration across regions

Qualifications

Required Experience & Education

• 10+ years in demand planning and demand sensing with commercially available systems
• OR Master's degree with 7-10 years of relevant experience
• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• Proven experience deploying large-scale demand planning processes and state-of-the-art systems

Technical Expertise

• Strong knowledge of statistical modeling and system optimization within demand planning platforms
• Experience implementing predictive planning and trade promotion management systems
• Ability to troubleshoot and optimize demand planning tools and processes
• High tolerance for ambiguity and ability to drive progress in fluid situations

Language Requirement

• MUST be fluent in Spanish (verbal and written) for effective regional collaboration
• English proficiency required for global communication

Work Environment

• 100% Remote within EMEA region
• 34-week contract with flexible hours to support global teams
• Must be willing to adjust working hours periodically (4-6 week rotations supporting APAC, LATAM, EMEA teams)
