We are looking for a CTO / Head of AI to join the founding team of a fintech startup that is redefining Growth Capital for B2C companies.

This role combines technical leadership, AI ownership, and strategic execution. You will be responsible for building the company’s entire technology and AI foundation — from architecture and data infrastructure to machine-learning-driven underwriting and real-time decisioning.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who wants to build from zero to scale and be a core partner.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead the end-to-end technology and AI strategy of the company.
• Design and build a scalable, cloud-native platform supporting AI-driven underwriting and capital allocation.
• Architect and deploy production-grade ML models (risk, behavior, performance prediction).
• Build and maintain data pipelines, feature stores, model monitoring, and retraining processes.
• Translate business and product requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Establish engineering and AI best practices, standards, and processes.
• Recruit, lead, and mentor the engineering and AI teams as the company scales.
• Work closely with founders, product, and business teams on strategic decisions.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, data, and AI-driven systems.
• Proven experience in senior technical leadership (CTO, Head of AI, VP Engineering, or similar).
• Strong, hands-on background in Machine Learning, Data, and AI systems.
• Experience deploying ML models into production at scale.
• Deep understanding of cloud architecture (AWS / GCP / Azure), scalability, and security.
• Strong system design skills across backend, data, and ML infrastructure.
• Experience working in early-stage startups (Seed / Series A).
• Ability to operate in a high-ownership, fast-moving environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience in Fintech, B2C platforms, or financial products.
• Familiarity with underwriting, risk modeling, credit scoring, or growth capital.
• Experience with real-time decisioning systems.
• Advanced academic background (MSc / PhD) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Data Science.
• Prior experience as part of a founding or early leadership team.
