VCAT is a professional-grade VR firearms training system used by instructors and organizations to improve real-world shooting performance.

We’re looking for an Art Lead to own the visual and UX direction of the product and be part of the core product leadership team.

Role Description:

As Art Lead, you will own the visual and UX vision of VCAT across VR, flat-screen applications, and physical hardware interfaces.

You’ll be hands-on from day one - designing user flows, layouts, and interfaces, creating production-ready assets, and validating usability in a real training context. Alongside this, you’ll lead and mentor in-house designers and freelancers, ensuring visual consistency and quality.

This is a product leadership role: you’ll work closely with Product, Engineering, and Training experts, take part in core product decisions, and help shape how VCAT looks, feels, and functions.

Requirements

• Strong artistic and visual vision to product design — able to define and maintain a consistent look & feel across the entire VCAT ecosystem (VR, flat screens, data dashboards, and physical/hardware-related interfaces)
• Excellent, hands-on UX/UI skills for cross-platform products, with proven ability to take designs from concept and user flows to final, production-ready assets
• Leadership and management experience, including working with in-house team members and freelancers
• Proven previous experience in relevant roles, supported by a strong portfolio that demonstrates both visual quality and UX thinking
• Comfortable working in a startup environment, taking ownership and wearing multiple hats
