senior backend engineer (early-stage defense-tech startup)

a stealth-mode, top-tier vc-backed (yc, general catalyst) defense-tech startup building next-gen autonomous systems is looking for a core senior backend engineer (top 10 employee) to shape their platform from scratch!

what you'll do:

design & build high-scale, low-latency distributed systems processing real-time video networks and ai/ml outputs. fully own backend architecture, infrastructure, and devops pipelines (cloud & edge).

what you need:

5+ years of robust backend experience in distributed systems - must production-grade experience with kubernetes, docker, & ci/cd (highly independent with infra) - must deep knowledge of postgresql (schema design, optimization) - must strong python experience, especially with fastapi or similar backend framework b.sc. in computer science - must fast-paced, startup mindset. major advantages: python (fastapi), video streaming/computer vision infrastructure, llms, or background in robotics/defense-tech.
