Role Description

We are seeking a Senior Architect / Tech Lead to join our growing R&D team in Tel Aviv. In this hands on leadership role, you will be responsible for architecting, designing, and leading the development of scalable, secure, and high performance backend systems that power HomeLend’s mortgage marketplace platform.

You will act as a technical leader within the team, setting architectural direction, making critical technology decisions, and working closely with product, business, and US based stakeholders.

Required Experience & Skills

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional training (e.g., elite IDF technology units or similar background)

- At least 5 years of professional experience with Python in production systems

- Proven experience designing scalable, distributed backend architectures

- Strong knowledge of databases, including schema design and performance optimization

- Solid understanding of object oriented programming and backend design principles

- Experience building secure, scalable RESTful APIs

- Ability to take technical ownership, make design decisions, and lead by example

- Strong communication skills and the ability to lead technical discussions

Nice to have

- Strong experience with Django and Django REST Framework

- Hands-on experience with AWS or equivalent cloud platforms

- Experience with Redis for caching and performance optimization
