Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in the Tel Aviv District, Israel, for a Scientific Tools Marketing, Support, and Sales Specialist (Customer Success Manager). The primary responsibilities include promoting and marketing scientific tools and resources, managing customer relationships to ensure satisfaction, and providing technical and application-based support to clients. The specialist will also conduct market research, identify customer needs, and regularly interface with international partners. Additionally, the role involves coordinating sales efforts, delivering product presentations, and ensuring exceptional client experiences.

We are looking for a versatile and scientifically fluent Scientific Solutions Consultant to lead pre-sales, sales, and post-sales activities, while also serving as an expert in scientific information retrieval. The consultant will be accountable for profitable achievement of sales objectives for existing accounts by identifying opportunities to grow, retain and cross-sell, but also to find new accounts to grow the business, both by utilizing the product portfolio and services. This unique hybrid role requires strong communication skills, strong self-management and independent work capabilities and hands-on experience with scientific databases and information tools.

Arad-Ophir is the Israeli representative of CAS (Chemical Abstracts Service), a division of the American Chemical Society. Our clients include pharmaceutical, biotech, agrochemicals, chemicals and life sciences companies focused on drug discovery, chemistry, food, materials, environmental research and other Life sciences-related fields.

Key responsibilities:

Marketing and business development to expand the usage of current tools and literature search projects.

  • Develop and implement marketing and sales strategies for scientific tools.
  • Manage and negotiate customer agreements
  • Build, expand, and solidify relationships with existing clients via necessary sales and support visits, calls, emails, and presentations.
  • Engage with professionals and R&D/IP/ IT managers in the industry, academy and governmental offices to promote products, services and identify business opportunities.
  • Provide technical support and training to clients, ensuring optimal product usage and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver tailored solutions to meet client needs.
  • Conduct and manage literature search projects.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a science-related industry, preferably in R&D or marketing. Industries include biotechnology, chemistry, biology, materials, food and Bio-convergence
  • Experience in search tools and literature search projects
  • Experience and understanding in ML and AI tools - an advantage
  • Experience and knowledge in CAS tools (SciFinder, STN…) - an advantage

Background:

· MSc or PhD in biology, chemistry, computational biology/chemistry food or materials engineering and related fields

  • Native-level proficiency in Hebrew, including writing, speaking, and reading
  • Proficiency in English at a very high level (written and spoken)
  • Knowledge of Intellectual Property - an advantage

Qualifications:

· Service-oriented, good listening capabilities.

· Excellent communication and presentation skills in both technical and business contexts.

· Ability to work independently and manage relationships across multiple stakeholders.

· Training, presenting and demo capabilities

· Ability to process large volume of data and perform appropriate analysis.

· Strategic and business-oriented mindset

· Assertive approach to problems

· Flexibility and enthusiastically acceptance of innovation

· Good logical thinking
